Our Work Has Grown. Now Our Name Is Growing with It.
The Kimmell Foundation is entering an exciting new chapter as The Center for Organizational Health, a name that more accurately reflects the breadth and future of our work.

For years, we have partnered with organizations and leaders to help create workplaces where people feel valued, cared for, and safe. Over time, that work has grown, and we realized our name needed to grow with it.
As our research, leadership development, organizational diagnostics, and educational programs continue to expand, the name Center better communicates who we are and the role we aspire to play. It signals a trusted resource dedicated to advancing healthier organizations through practical tools, evidence-based insights, and leadership development that improves both people and performance.
Why We’re Becoming The Center for Organizational Health
The Kimmell Foundation name has been part of our story for years, and we’re proud of what has been built under it.
But as our work expanded, we wanted a name that more clearly communicated both what we do today and where we’re headed. The Center for Organizational Health does that.
Organizational health is about more than whether a business is performing well. It’s about the people who make that performance possible. It’s about leaders who listen. People who feel valued. Teams where there is trust and safety. Opportunities to learn and grow. Cultures where people are encouraged to contribute their best. We believe those things aren’t separate from organizational success. They’re essential to it.
Our new name gives us room to continue rigorous research, leadership development, organizational insights, educational experiences, resources, and new ways to help leaders strengthen their organizations.
What’s Changing
The most obvious change is our name.
The Kimmell Foundation is now The Center for Organizational Health.
You’ll also see a new visual identity, a new website, new resources, and an expanded vision for how we serve leaders and organizations.
Our membership community is evolving, too. Going forward, we’ll refer to the organizations we work alongside as partners, a word that better reflects the relationships we’re building and the work we hope to do together.
And we’re continuing to think bigger about what’s possible.
That means expanding the resources and learning opportunities we provide, creating new ways for organizations to partner with and support our work, developing original thought leadership, and continuing to explore what healthy leadership looks like in practice.
What’s Not Changing
While our name is changing, the foundation underneath our work isn’t. Our beliefs will continue to guide what we teach, what we create, and how we serve.
Our team isn’t changing. Our commitment to the leaders and organizations we work with isn’t changing. And the programs, events, community, and relationships you’ve come to know aren’t going away.
You’ll even still see a familiar bison around here. 🦬
The Center for Organizational Health remains a standalone 501(c)(3) nonprofit working in collaborative partnership with Kimray. Kimray provides a living example of people-first leadership in practice, while the Center allows us to study, develop, and share principles and resources that can serve organizations far beyond one company.
We’re carrying the best of where we’ve been into where we’re going next.
What This Means for You
If you’ve attended one of our events, joined our membership community, partnered with us, sponsored our work, listened to our podcast, or simply followed along, you don’t need to do anything differently.
But you can expect more from us.
- More opportunities to develop your leaders and teams.
- More resources to help you understand and strengthen the health of your organization.
- More research and insights around leadership, culture, trust, and the way people experience work.
- More opportunities to learn alongside and connect with other leaders.
- And more ways for businesses, foundations, nonprofits, and community partners to join us in making this work possible.
Ultimately, the new name gives us greater clarity around something we’ve believed for a long time: Healthy organizations start with people.
And when leaders understand the value of the people around them and intentionally create environments where those people can grow, contribute, and thrive, the impact reaches far beyond a single leader.
That’s the work we’re committed to. And now, we have a name that says it.
Welcome to The Center
We’re grateful for everyone who has been part of The Kimmell Foundation story, and we’re excited to have you with us for what’s next.
